Panel 1

The scene shows a stand of trees on a mountain plateu. The speakers are situated in the two frontmost ones.[edit]

Stanley the Tool: I just talked to the Thinkamancer.

Maggie.

Jack Snipe: Oh?

Stanley the Tool: City didn't fall.

She says we won.
[edit]

Panel 2

The illusory trees fade away, revealing Jack Snipe seated on a purple dwagon and Stanley seated on his red armored dwagon mount. In the background, a few more dwagons appear as the "trees" vanish.[edit]

Jack Snipe: That's remarkable!

Stanley the Tool: Things are a mess, though.
[edit]

Panel 3

Jack watches as Stanley's dwagon takes flight.[edit]

Stanley the Tool: We have to get home.

Sound: FUFF SNORT FUFF
[edit]

Panel 4

Wanda's face is seen in three-quarter profile against the blue morning sky.[edit]

Wanda Firebaugh: Dawn.

Sound: POP

Wanda Firebaugh: And... our turn!
[edit]

Panel 5

Parson and Wanda stand among the rocks and ruins. The newly-popped dwagon flies overhead.[edit]

Sound: ROOOOOAAAAARRR!

Parson Gotti: Well, that would have been booping useful.

Wait.
[edit]

Panel 6

Parson raises a hand to his chin as he considers the meaning of having Gobwin Knob once again starting its turn at dawn.[edit]

Parson Gotti: Turn at dawn means...

Neither Charlescomm nor Transylvito are in the battlespace.
[edit]

Panel 7

Wanda frowns as she closely examines Ansom's body. Parson stands behind her, watching.[edit]

Wanda Firebaugh: Nor Barbarians.

Parson Gotti: Right.
[edit]

Panel 8

Parson turns away, holding up his hand and sporting a somewhat uncertain expression. Behind him, Wanda points the Arkenpliers at Ansom's corpse. The artifact shoots a white beam that suffuses the body with red-tinged magical energy.[edit]

Parson Gotti: So... what should we do this turn?

Rebuild the city? Or--

Wanda Firebaugh: We should do this.
[edit]

Panel 9

Ansom stands in the foreground, a silhouette of red sparkling power similar to the appearance of the Arkenpliers when Wanda first attuned to it. Wanda continues to direct the Arkentool's power at Ansom, while Parson stands behind her watching in astonishment.[edit]
Sound: DECRYPT [edit]

Panel 10

As the red nimbus of magical energy fades, Ansom stands, reanimated. He looks as he did in life -- in particular, he does not have the green pallor of the uncroaked. The only obvious change in his appearance is his clothing: his cape now has a scalloped edge, and the trim on his jacket has changed from blue with red Jetstone radishes to black with white emblems. He is frowning, and seems disoriented.[edit]

Ansom: I...

What am I?
[edit]

Panel 11

Parson and Wanda look at Ansom. Parson seems intrigued, and Wanda grins with delight.[edit]

Parson Gotti: Gooood question.

Wanda?

Wanda Firebaugh: I don't know...

Something new.
[edit]

Panel 12

Wanda and Ansom are seen in profile. Ansom stares ahead impassively as Wanda takes a close look into the face of her creation. This close view reveals that the new emblems on the trim of Ansom's jacket are white skulls.[edit]
Wanda Firebaugh: Something ...glorious. [edit]
