Panel 1

A flash-forward scene[1] shows an overhead view of a green dwagon flying over the garrison wall of Gobwin Knob, heading for the outer city.[edit]

Parson Gotti: That's really slick.

I mean, that the prisoner is an unwitting double agent. 		[edit]

Panel 2

A flash-forward scene shows Wanda and Jillian riding the green dwagon. Wanda is wearing a schoolgirl outfit with a sleeveless white shirt, red tie, and red elbow-length gloves, accessorized with a headpiece adorned with a large skull. She is reaching for the front of the saddle with her right hand, apparently to guide the dwagon. Jillian is in her armor, sitting across Wanda's lap with her eyes closed and a smile on her face.[edit]

Wanda Firebaugh: Not entirely unwitting.

Nor entirely controlled.

A flash-forward scene shows the green dwagon descending to land in a clearing among the trees.[edit]

Parson Gotti: So we're saying we release the prisoner near the incursion group.

She joins them, and reports her 'escape' to Ansom via the hat. 		[edit]

A flash-forward scene shows a closeup of Wanda and Jillian from mouth to shoulder, as they face each other closely.[edit]
Parson Gotti: Ansom, with his long history of personally riding to her rescue, flies his air units out to escort her back to the column. [edit]

Panel 5

A flash-forward scene shows the green dwagon standing in the clearing. Behind the dwagon's body can be seen Wanda and Jillian's feet, facing each other and touching.[edit]

Stanley the Tool: I don't like giving her up again.

Wanda Firebaugh: Tool, if Parson's plan works, we will croak or capture the coalition leader, plus the prisoner, and any other warlords they have taken along.

We will also get the Arkenpliers. 		[edit]

A flash-forward scene shows Wanda glancing over her shoulder at Jillian, who has turned to walk away. Wanda's hand is on one of the green dwagon's saddle straps.[edit]

Stanley the Tool: I know! That's the only reason I'm agreeing. But it still seems risky.

Parson Gotti: He has a point. What if we just croak the incursion group and use the hat to send a fake message?

Wanda Firebaugh: They use codes.

And Prince Ansom would know the prisoner's handwriting. 		[edit]

A flash-forward scene shows Jillian standing in the clearing, holding her left arm with her right hand, with a wistful expression on her face.[edit]

Parson Gotti: We control her, though. So just make her write the message. Right?

Wanda Firebaugh: The control is subtle, Warlord. 		[edit]

A flash-forward scene shows Ansom reading a note. He has a hand up to his chin, and looks uncertain and a bit unhappy. In the background below (implying that Ansom is riding his flying carpet, though it is not visible in frame) are a mass of troops and an animated tree.[edit]

Wanda Firebaugh: Suggestions, perceptions, emotions... not commands.

Particularly not a direct command to betray Ansom.

Parson Gotti: What if he doesn't take the bait? 		[edit]

A flash-forward scene shows Jillian seated on a sourmander and brandishing her sword. Sir Webinar stands behind the sourmander, his arms crossed and a frown on his face.[edit]

Wanda Firebaugh: He has always been predictable in this matter.

But even if she lives, she is worth more to us out in the field than in our dungeon. 		[edit]

Notes

^ Each frame of this page includes "voiceover" dialog of Parson, Wanda, and Stanley discussing their plan to set a trap for Ansom, in conjunction with a scene of the final plan being implemented. Obviously, the conversation occurred before the resulting actions.
