Panel 1

On the ramparts of the outer walls, a few gobwin troopers have spotted incoming enemy flying units. One blows a horn to alert the city.[edit]
Sound: Frrt! Frrt! Vrrt! [edit]

Panel 2

Bogroll points out the window as he turns to address Parson, whom is sitting in Stanley's chair.[edit]

Bogroll: Fliers, Lord. Inbound.

Shall I fetch a Caster? 		[edit]

Panel 3

From below, the observation deck of the Tower of Efdup looms large. Parson and Bogroll are tiny in the window.[edit]

Parson Gotti: This can't be the main attack.

Could be recon by fire,[1] though. 		[edit]

Panel 4

In a wide view of the command office, we see Parson and Bogroll looking out the window as the Coalition air forces approach the Tower of Efdup. More than twenty units dot the sky.[edit]

Parson Gotti: I think we need to save our air defenses.

We'll just have to let 'em buzz us again. 		[edit]

Panel 5

Jillian rides a gwiffon at the front of a formation of Coalition fliers, including Vinny, several unipegataurs, and gwiffons.[edit]

Sound: VOOSH

Parson Gotti: Whoa! 		[edit]

Panel 6

Wanda climbs a circular stairwell of the type commonly found in the Tower of Efdup. She wears a black hooded robe that is slit to the hip revealing her legs. The stairway lights reflect off the staff she carries, which is malevolently topped by a bestial skull with curved horns.[edit]

We see Wanda from behind, framed in an arched doorway, as she looks up at the approaching Coalition air forces.[edit]

Jillian looks back at Vinny as she addresses him. Far below, Wanda stands on the top of the observation deck.[edit]

Jillian Zamussels: Hang back.

If there's trouble, scatter and meet up at the rendezvous.

Wanda's bright blue right eye is central to the panel in this extreme close up. The black hood has a blood red inner lining. Wanda's face is twisted in anger.[edit]

On her gwiffon, Jillian is a short distance above and in front of Wanda, who stands on the top of the observation deck of the Tower of Efdup. Jillian's massive sword is behind her on the saddle, while Wanda's staff is tilted down to the front. The sky on the horizon is a cloudless light blue.[edit]

Jillian Zamussels: I--

Jillian's blue-gray eye is centered in an extreme close up of the left side of her face. It is glancing downward, toward Wanda.[edit]
