This might be a bit of a stretch, but... Aqua Velva might also be a reference to Aqua Vitae, which means "water of life" and has come to refer to distillates of alcholic beverages. With the Transylvitan emblem resembling the Bacardi rum logo... anyway, it's a thought. - No one in particular
